Kerranda's Cloud

As you enter the cavern labeled Kerrand's Cloud, you begin to wonder if you are still even in the DragonRose Mountains. You look up, and see a cloudless sky above you. Wasn't there supposed to have been a cave here, rather than outside? Strangely, the air is warm and balmy, despite the clouds growing in the distance. You can only tell that there IS a storm brewing, by the lightening flashing on the horizon, and the thunder echoing back at you from the canyon walls. The stars sparkle and shine in what appears to be a summer heat, and the grass waves gently in the light breeze. The stars begin to be blotted out by the storm cloud, and a false wind starts to pick up around you. Eyeing the clouds, you continue to walk, but they don't appear to be gaining on you very quickly. You continue to wander through the canyon, picking flowers here and there that just happen to grow by the small stream that had appeared a few hundred feet back.

Suddenly, you hear thunder at your back, and you look around. The clouds seem to have gotten much closer for the time that has passed, and you decide to start heading back, rather than face the angry looking clouds. But as you turn around, you see a vicious Pegasis standing in your way. You stop in your tracks, as he lifts up to his hind legs, and lets out a loud snort and whinny.

"Thou shalt not pass this way, mortal!" The Pegasis booms at you, with a voice that you hear with not only your ears... but your very soul. You shudder, and freeze. The pegasis glares at you. "You must continue through the canyon to leave this area, or risk being eaten by the 'unknown'." He says to you. You look at him like the theater is lost on you, and raise an eyebrow dramatically.

Then the Pegasis lowers himself to the ground, and pulls his wings in close to your body. Behind him you see millions of eyes scatter from your attention, like cockroaches from a bathroom light.

Suddenly.. you believe this strange pegasis knows what he's talking about. Stuttering your thanks to the pegasis, you turn around expecting to book it... but instead find yourself headed straight into the angry storm cloud.

You thought that thunder had been getting louder...

The clouds swirl around you frighteningly, and lightening flashes in regular intervals around you, until your eyes can no longer recover from the blinding flashes. You blink furiously, trying to see again, but the winds continue to throw you from side to side, and yet you still can't see a thing. suddenly.. the winds stop. The thunder echos around you... but it has been muted somehow. The flashes also continue around you... but they are no longer blinding, though they seem to have kept their same brilliance. Rubbing the tears from your eyes, you gaze around you. A wall of clouds surrounds you, swirling softly, though solidly, not allowing you to pass through. In the center of the cloud is a large blue dragon. She glistens softly with every flash of lightening, and vibrates harmonically with each clap of thunder. You gaze in wonder at this strange beauty before you, in the eye of this storm. She seems to be preoccupied with something else that only she can see in the walls of this cloud. Carefully, you look around for something to tell you who this magnificant creature might be.

After so long of staring at the dragon, you decide to try to find your way out of here. Thankfully.. the cloud was willing to help. Suddenly the cloud matter below your feet becomes vaporous, and you begin the long plumet to the ground. Just as you start to fall, the dragon begins to giggle at you. You begin to scream, realizing that this is REAL... and you shut your eyes to keep from seeing the end coming closer. Then, BAM! The wind is knocked from your chest... but you're NOT dead! However, with the way your body is going to feel tomorrow, you may as well be. You squeek open one of your eyes, and see two beautiful silver wings pumping on each side of you. The pegasis! He gracefully flies you back to the entry way to the canyon, and you leave so quickly that you forget to thank him. However, before you leave.. he tells you to make sure to visit Kerranda's brother in the next cloud.
