"Welcome." a gruff voice says from beside you. As you are starting to get used to people jumping out at you from around corners, the voice doesn't startle you. "I'm Mayde. I'm your guide. Don't do anything wrong." Looking at the centaur person as soon as he walks around the corner, you are supprised by his gruffness. He seems almost rude! "This way." He starts walking off into the meadow without you, and you have to run to catch up!
"This is new Equine Egg. Don't know what kind of equine it is.. so Shadow Rose is making us take care of it. Don't know name. Next." Mayde says to you, and you look at him as if he is off his rocker! How could he NOT be interested in an EQUINE being born from an EGG?!?! You shake your head, and follow after him.

"This is Mirianda. She is bright and colorful. Next." The centaur starts walking away, but you walk over to Mirianda and try to start a conversation with her. "Hi!" you say. She looks up at you (well.. down really.. she's kinda tall..)and says, "Uhmm.. Like.. Hi. Are you here to see us?" You nod your head at her, and she says, "Oh good! Like.. we don't get many visitors.. and like.. those we do get always run away.. well.. like.. at least.. like... run away from me. I don't know why.. do you know why??? I keep trying to figu......" You walk away quickly from the babbling Centaur, and catch up with your impatient guide.
"Tried to tell you." Mayde says whenever you finally catch up. "You did not!!" You start to say.. but then decide that it wouldn't be wise to make your guide angry... you still want to see the rest of the centaurs!!
"Common. This way." Mayde says and walks over to another beautiful centaur.. only this one is blue... and pouting. 'Uh-oh' you think.
"This is Miriven. Next." Mayde walks away again, after telling you the name of this pouting creature, but you decide to walk up to her anyways. "Hi." You say to her. "Oh.. Hi." She says back. There is a long moment of silence, and then you say, "What's bothering you?? You look down!" Miriven looks at you and says, "Shadow Rose!!! That's what's bothering me!!!!!! She grounded, only this time it was literally!!! She told me that I couldn't fly anywhere... ESPECIALLY not to Pegasis cloud!! How am I supposed to go to the pegasis party tonight, if I can't fly?!?!" Miriven explodes at you. She begins a very long winded rant, and you decide that leaving would be very wise.
"Warned again." Mayde says when you catch up again. You bite your tongue down on your retort again.. but decide that next time he does a "Told you so" you are going to punch him!!!!
"This is Freide. Say 'Hi' Freide." Mayde stays until Freide says hello, and then walks away. You are getting rather annoyed by this Centaur always being right about which centaurs to avoid.. so you are determined to talk to every centaur in this glade until you find one that doesn't have a rant!! You walk up to Freide and say, Hello. "What was that? Oh.. hello." He says, then he starts up with, "Isn't she BEAUTIFUL?! That Main.. That coat... Those.. erm.. DON'T LOOK THERE!! ONLY I CAN!" You are startled by the centaur yelling at you, but try to converse anyways. "Who???" you ask. "YOU DON'T KNOW!? Aug! What's wrong with you... she's so... beautiful.. so magestic.. so.. so.. she defines words! Oh... Jezzewich.. my beautiful.. I only wish you loved me and not...HIM." He goes on some more, and you decide that you are defeted, and should catch up with your guide again.
As you catch up with Mayde, you realize that he didn't say anything. "Why no witty comment this time?" You ask. "Oh.. Freide is obsessed. Sad case really. Jezzewich married another Centaur, and Freide never got over it. Pathetic." You realize that this was the longest sentence you've ever gotten out of Mayde, and decide that he must really feel sorry for this other centaur!
"This is Etalia. Hello Etalia." Mayde says when you reach the next centaur.. and amazingly stays with you as you talk with her! "Hello Mayde. And hello to you too." She says in a very soft, sweet voice. "I'm learning to dance right now.. so I can't talk much.. but it was nice to meet you!!" She says as she does a beautiful 5 step trot that looks wonderful from the ground, but would jolt a person right off her back if they were riding! You wonder where she learned such a move!

"Beautiful.. isn't she?" Mayde says to you as he is walking you towards the exit. "She is my dance partner. I wish to ask her hand in marriage next Gathering. It will be perfect." Mayde says to you after a slight pause. Not sure whether to drop your jaw in amazement for the comment about Mayde liking ANYBODY, or for him confiding in you, you just stare at him in response. "What?" He looks at you, and then lets a small, deep chuckle out from his throat. "Did you think all of us centaurs are just one minded creatures?" You shake your head in befuddlement, and then walk out into the caverns again.
